About Me
I'm Robert Floyd Dugger, a data administrator and automation engineer who builds trading systems, game engines, and data pipelines in my spare time.
By Day
Data Administrator at Consumr Buzz, focused on process optimization and workflow automation. I've built systems that automated 60% of routine tasks—transforming manual spreadsheet work into scheduled, reliable processes. This hands-on experience taught me the business side of software: ROI, user adoption, and real-world constraints. Happily employed, but constantly hungry to learn new industries and avenues.
By Night
Building production-grade technical systems that solve real problems. Not hobby projects. Real infrastructure that people rely on. Available for contractor work and side projects.
Why This Matters
At Consumr Buzz, we help businesses solve a critical problem: "Your business can miss out on revenue if existing and potential customers can't find you online." We deliver web design, digital advertising, local SEO, social media management, and reputation management for diverse industries—accounting, automotive, beauty, construction, law, medical, restaurants, and more.
My role as an IT Support Specialist and internal tool developer is the backbone that keeps this machine running. Here's what that means in practice:
- → Lead Enrichment & Data Accuracy – I've built systems that transformed manual spreadsheet work into automated, scheduled pipelines that feed accurate prospect data into our client campaigns. Bad data kills ROI. Good data wins deals.
- → 60% Process Automation – Routine tasks that once consumed hours now run on schedule. This freed up team capacity to focus on client strategy and delivery instead of manual data entry.
- → Business Logic Automation – Every process I automate teaches me something about business constraints: ROI thresholds, user adoption friction, edge cases in real workflows. This informs how I design systems that actually get used.
- → Revenue Enablement – When your operational systems are reliable, your team closes deals faster. When data flows automatically, your clients get results sooner. That's not "nice to have"—it's core to the business.
This is why I optimize for systems that work, systems that survive 6 months of maintenance, and systems I'm proud of. At Consumr Buzz, the difference between mediocre automation and solid automation directly impacts client outcomes and team productivity.

Why I Build
I optimize for:
- → Does it actually work?
- → Will it survive 6 months of maintenance?
- → Am I proud of this?
I'd rather ship one solid system than five mediocre ones.
Beyond Code
I'm the parent of a 6-year-old daughter who is high-functioning autistic with significant GI issues and ARFID. This isn't a sidebar to my work—it's the foundation of how I think about systems.
When your child's nervous system is sensitive to change, you learn that systems aren't abstract. They're real. Schedules matter. Consistency matters. Edge cases aren't theoretical—they're where real people live. Good processes create space. Bad ones steal it.
This shapes every system I build: Does it account for constraint? Will it survive when things go wrong? Does it respect the people using it? When you're designing a system for someone whose world requires precision, you learn that constraints create clarity, not limits.
Every automation I build at Consumr Buzz, every game system in rpgCore, every trading algorithm in PhantomArbiter—they all reflect this: systems that work because they respect constraints, not despite them.
My Work
PhantomArbiter — Real-time Solana arbitrage detection at millisecond scale
rpgCore — Multi-genre game engine with Python + Godot + NEAT AI
TurboShells — Full-stack real-time turtle racing game with genetic breeding
GreenGap — Educational ecology game teaching through mechanics
RogueAsteroid — Physics-based arcade game with clean ECS architecture
What I'm Looking For
Freelance
Trading systems, data pipelines, game prototypes, backend architecture
Full-time or Contract
Senior engineer roles where architecture matters. Teams shipping real products with actual users.
How My Brain Works
These "random facts" are actually the fingerprints of how I approach problems. If you want to understand where they come from, see How I Think.
- → Lateral thinking – I solve impossible problems by questioning assumptions (Douglas Adams influence)
- → Systems thinking – I see interconnections; understand how one change cascades (Pratchett influence)
- → Constraint appreciation – Limits force innovation; I optimize within them, not around them (game design + parenting)
- → Cadence awareness – Code has rhythm (async, concurrency), UX has rhythm (pacing, feedback), business has rhythm (seasons, cycles)
- → Eclecticism – Wide music taste = pulling ideas from everywhere; right tool for the job, not the obvious tool
- → Maintainability obsession – If I build it, it survives 6 months. No quick hacks. No code I'm not proud of.
